FAQ
1. How many hours of student teaching are needed before considered a full instructor?
A minimum of one 45-minute class must be taught during the student teaching phase. Most certification programs do not include a teaching component, but we’ve added this opportunity so you can gain hands-on experience to strengthen your skills and enhance your resume.
2. If we want additional self-practice, are we able to attend your classes for free or do we pay the fee?
Yes — you’ll have free access to all weekday Fire Pilates classes for self-practice during the entire duration of the course. This allows you to continue developing your technique and confidence while learning.
3. To maintain the certification, is there a number of classes for professional development needed?
No, ongoing professional development is not required to maintain your certification. Fitness certifications do not typically require renewal or continuing education credits unless you choose to pursue advanced training in the future.
4. What does the final exam consist of?
The final exam includes both written and practical components:
A 30-minute written test covering key concepts and materials reviewed throughout the course
A 30-minute practical assessment, where you’ll design and instruct your own Pilates routine to demonstrate teaching proficiency and class flow
5. Where can I use my certification once completed?
Upon completing the program, you’ll be qualified to teach Pilates at studios, fitness centers, and wellness facilities. Your Fire Pilates certification demonstrates that you’ve completed a comprehensive instructor training program, allowing you to confidently lead classes in both private and group settings.
You can also use your certification to teach independently, offering classes at local gyms, community spaces, or online — giving you the flexibility to grow your teaching career in whichever direction you choose.
